See where your products rank in AI shopping search.
Shopify hands your catalog to AI shopping channels through Shopify Catalog. Sextant checks where your products come up there for the searches your shoppers make, every day, and shows you when that changes.
| Search | Position | 7 days |
|---|---|---|
| vegan leather crossbody bag | #4 | ▲ 3 |
| everyday tote bag | #12 | No change |
| small belt bag | Not in top 100 | Left top 10 |
Illustration. Positions come from Shopify Catalog; each AI channel re-ranks them its own way.
How it works
No setup beyond choosing searches. Sextant reads your products from Shopify and suggests a search for each.
Pick your searches
Sextant suggests shopper-style searches without your brand or product names, so a good position means something.
Checked every day
Each search is run against Shopify Catalog and your product’s position is recorded, along with its price, stock and rating.
See what changed
A history for every search, today’s top 10 side by side with your listing, and a flag when you enter or leave the top 10.
Plain numbers, honestly labelled
Sextant reports what Shopify Catalog returns. It doesn’t guess what a chatbot might say.
Real positions
The first 100 results are read on every check. If your product isn’t there, Sextant says so rather than guessing.
Failures aren’t drops
A check that couldn’t finish is marked incomplete and never reported as a fall in position.
Your listing over time
Price, stock and rating are recorded with each check, so you can line changes in position up with changes you made.
Nothing stored about others
Other sellers’ results are shown live and never saved.
In early development
Sextant isn’t on the Shopify App Store yet. It checks one country per store.
